Can I See Your VDD?
Keeper VDD
This is our VDD! Moving left to right, first it goes through the movement, using A and D to move left and right, as well as clicking and dragging to launch Marley across platforms. It also adds that the goal of navigating through rooms is to make your way through the lighthouse, which will slowly lead up, if twisted and turned. Marley sticks to any surface she hits, so the main way of navigating the rooms of the lighthouse is for the player to launch themselves around the levels, avoiding shadowy creatures and ooze from the Haunting. Because of the lack of ability to escape the lighthouse through windows or the front door, the only way out would be up and down the side of the lighthouse. So, one of the goals of the player is to collect pieces of chain to link together to be able to scale down the side to freedom. For visuals, less crowded text is ideal for making the image easier to read and digest. We also wanted to use the actual assets from the game to exemplify how the game itself may work. Especially regarding some of the wall decoration pieces, the slight surrealism adding to making the viewer or player maybe feel slightly uncomfortable as they make their way. The Haunting in the lighthouse may whisper to Marley hints of her past, or even directly confront her with them. The main goal of the game is to move up, through physical boundaries, and potentially internal ones as well.
